Most people wonder what the heck a Google Map Pack is. Well a map pack shows the top 3 ranking businesses that show up in search results. You see them next to a map of the city like the photo above.  In this particular case it shows JCH Digital first for the keywords "web design Quesnel".

Why is this so important to businesses? There are some pretty good reasons why you should be paying attention to your ranking on Google.

That means if your business shows up in #32 position for example (ranking #32) that means that 31 other businesses are more likely to be clicked on than yours. In fact, the top rank on the page (ignoring sponsored ads) will have nearly a 40% click rate more than even the #2 and #3 positions. So if the top 3 listings are getting nearly 70% of ALL clicks - how do you think your business will do against them? Probably the person won't get even half way down the list so your chances of gaining new business through the internet is slim to none.
